Principal’s Message
September 2022
The Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board has a rich 165 year history of providing quality Catholic education to our students. We are proud of our history and our accomplishments and know that our future in the 21st century learning is full of hope. Huron-Perth Catholic Schools are:
PLACES OF BELONGING.
PLACES OF RESPECT AND JUSTICE.
PLACES OF HOPE.
PLACES OF CELEBRATION.
PLACES OF QUALITY LEARNING AND TEACHING.
Holy Name of Mary Catholic School is located in the beautiful town of St. Marys, Ontario. Our Catholic roots serve as the foundation for everything that we do at Holy Name of Mary. We value our partnership with the Parish and our families as we collaborate together to nurture the individual gifts in each of our children. We encourage each member of our community to act with kindness and generosity as we strive to live the Gospel Values in our school. We are, above all else, a community who cares for one another and supports our families.
When you enter Holy Name of Mary School, you will notice a positive and welcoming environment. Our large school building has 200 students from Kindergarten-grade 8, ranging in age from 3 ½ – 13 years old. We have 9 classrooms, a newly renovated gymnasium and a new technology and collaboration lab. We are also home to the St. Marys Childcare Centre that serves young children from infant to school-aged.
Our highly qualified and experienced teachers help to make Holy Name one of the highest achieving schools in Perth County! We are committed to academic excellence through our focus on literacy, mathematics, student led inquiry, technology and 21st century learning. Our classrooms are collaborative learning communities with students of all abilities learning together in an inclusive classroom setting.
We would welcome a visit to our school at any time to determine if Holy Name of Mary School would be the best option for your child.
All the best for an excellent school year!
